The famous one-month long Makar Sankranti fair (Khichdi Mela) has commenced at Gorakhnath temple. Khichdi was first offered by Goraksha Peethadheeshwar Yogi Adityanath. Then Khichdi was offered by representative of Nepal Naresh. Gates of the temple were thrown open for devotees after it. Devotees from different parts of India and Nepal have arrived in large numbers to offer Khichdi to Baba Gorakhnath.
